Axil Wear Cycling Clothes...
An Eco-Friendly Choice!
Axil Wear cycling clothing is dedicated to making clothes which are
comfortable and reduces the carbon footprint of traditional biking clothes
made!
At this point in time there is not a perfect way of recycling
polyester. However some companies are getting close to making it so.
Like other clothing companies who are wanting to do more to reduce
the impact polyester has on resources, natural or otherwise, it is my
responsibility to be a contributor towards a solution instead of being part
of the continuation of the problem.
Thus the reason for Axil Wear!
Providing functional, stylish and sustainable cycling clothing, while using business to inspire positive change - Axil's Mission Statement.
You get an opportunity to find out more about how the process works, enjoy!
Here is what one of our customers had to say about Axil Wear!
"I
need an Axil Wear jersey because the earth needs me to need an Axil
Wear jersey! Made out of recycled plastic bottles, this innovative,
kind, environmentally conscious biking shirt will motivate me out the
door, onto my skinny bike, and out onto that open, lanky road. A person
really can’t miss by getting this jersey because it hits all the three
R’s that we learned about in grade school. It REDUCES consumption of new
clothing materials like the plastic that goes into polyester, it REUSES
those coke containers that always get thrown away after a pizza party,
and it RECYCLES plastic that would have otherwise gone into a sad,
oversized landfill. I need an Axil Wear jersery so I can give the earth a
high-five and get biking!"

How The Fabric Used For Axil Wear Clothing Is Made
This is short video, less than 3 minutes, which shows the process of
how the fabric is made.
You can see from this video how the fabric can be continually
reused to create additional sustainable fabric. This process is what is called a closed-loop process.
An empty plastic bottle really is full of potential and has an opportunity
to make many things.
You might not look at an empty plastic bottle the same way again!
One pound of fabric, used for the clothing, is equivalent to
approximately 4 plastic bottles!!
Help plastic bottles reach their full potential!
Let us all do our part to help make our planet a better place than we found it!!
This is our goal and what is continually sought after in all aspects of the supply chain.
